The pictures in this post are from June 2009. The Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland hosts the Annual Festival of Flowers. It is really a very pretty event. I walked down to the square from our apartment and walked around the rows of flowers. Perfect pictures for spring and just in time for gardening!
When spring had finally sprung in Portland (I hope that sounds correct) I was ecstatic. The year we were in Portland we experienced a very long winter. When I saw the trees bloom I couldn’t resist grabbing my camera and walking the neighborhood to document the beauty. The spring in Colorado http://lovelivingincolorado.wordpress.com/ encourages me to grab my camera and explore too.
If you have ever watched the TLC show Little People Big World then you know the Roloff Family. When we lived in Portland, I dragged my husband to the Roloff Farm in October. We waited in a very long line of cars but it was worth the trip. We saw most of the family and took a tour of the property. We met Amy Roloff and she was very nice and welcoming. I believe they were filming the day we were at the farm. It was a fun day and worth the trip to Hillsboro.
Lincoln City, Oregon. I sometimes feel like I am “cheating” on Colorado–http://lovelivingincolorado.wordpress.com/ when I post about the beautiful Oregon coast. After all, the only thing missing in Colorado is the ocean.
